Fuses are all good, connections are clean and tight. Anyone have suggestions on where to get-go troubleshooting? Voltage to look for, and where? Mutual problems, etc.? Anything at this point would help. I checked the online transmission for a wiring diagram, there'due south one there but it doesn't display properly on my computer for some reason. ~SS~ |

That was the trouble on the ol' corsica. The battery leaked... the acid ate through the vacuum line. |

No vacuum on these, all electronic. Some online searches turned up some info stating that the VSS wiring in the radio tin kill the cruise. The VSS changes the volume of the radio as the speed changes, which, in a 2002 Cavi, is a good feature to have. This wiring is supposedly a problem even if the VSS choice is not installed. If the wire is grounded, no prowl. Looks like I might accept to look at the radio. Anyone heard of this? Been in that location, done that? ~SS~ |

But I'll check that out closer. The brake lights do function ordinarily. Does anyone know if this car is supposed to have a 'cruise' light on the dash? I don't see i when I start turn the key on, during the lamp test. ~SS~ |

My mom had the aforementioned problem on her ford taurau and I had to change out the cruise command module. don't know if they are the same on the chevy cavs. 1991 Gmc 2500 4x4 2001 Gmc 2500hd 4x4 2005 Chev Cavalier "A millwright tin can tap any hole" |

Right where the lever goes into the cavalcade. I pulled the lever , soldered it up and it's been working fine. Just a thought. "If it ain't got fins, information technology own't a real car! |
